The last few decades of human development have put sustainability and the future of the environment (both built and natural) firmly in the minds of policy makers, engineers and scientists but also in the minds of the public, particularly the young people who make up the current crop of university students, recent graduates and young professionals.
The Healthy Buildings 2012 conference is looking to encourage students to attend the conference and help in its organisation, building on the successes of the Indoor Air 2011 student program. To this end, the Student Program Committee, comprised of students, is responsible for organising the student portion of HB2012. The Student Program Committee will be planning the student social events, organising a competition for students to present their work to a plenary session and maintaining social media accounts to interact with attendees before, during and after the conference.
